Produced by a biomedical company in the Reggio area

A spray that would be able to eliminate viruses and bacteria on surfaces for up to five years. It is the solution developed by Nanoprom Chemicals, Casalgrande chemical and biomedical company, in Reggiano, which also tested the product on the human coronavirus family, points out, with promising results.
BV-Stop, it's called the spray, with the letters' B’ and ‘V’ which stand for 'bacteria’ and ‘virus’. A product designed for all those places whose surfaces are at risk due to the presence of pathogens, from operating theaters to office desks, from the mobile phone to the wheel of the car.
“It is a truly innovative water-based product – explains Gian Luca Falleti, founder and owner of Nanoprom – In the first place, for the goal it achieves immediately: the tests we conducted in the laboratory, with the support of the Mirandola Technopole”, in the Modena area, “indicate that, a 24 hours from its application, in the laboratory, reduces by 99,99% the bacteria inoculated on the treated surface, than the untreated surface. Tests on viruses belonging to the human coronavirus family have also yielded excellent results, showing a reduction in viral load after only two hours, in laboratory tests, more than 90%”. The substance tested would be colorless and odorless, “it does not even leave wet or greasy traces once applied”. The most interesting data, emphasizes Falletti, are those on the duration of the spray action over time: “We tested the permanence of BV-Stop by simulating weekly washes with the most aggressive industrial detergents – explains the owner of the company – We have found that its effectiveness remains substantially unchanged for at least 300 several steps. Laboratory tests, suggest that BV-Stop provides protection against viruses and bacteria for up to five years after its first and only application”.
The product will be available shortly on the large-scale market. There are already companies ready to use it. The first is Sitcar Italia, bus manufacturer in Formigine, in the Modena area.
